We at Mother Lode Harvest have been working for over 9 years to bring local, sustainably-raised food and farm products to our customers. We would like to continue doing so, but have decided to change our business model to create more of a connection with our community.
We are in the process of transitioning from a multi-farm CSA, in which membership allowed customers to subscribe to weekly produce boxes, into a Community Market, which will be a year-round, indoor venue for customers to buy local food, crafts, and art. We will be open 2 days a week, Tuesdays and Saturdays, from 11 am to 3 pm during the winter months. This change will bring us closer to our original vision of being a place for community gathering, education, and nourishment.
We will eventually be phasing out of the subscription boxes and offering products only on the website for pre-ordering, and by consignment sales and vendor sales on the Market days.
To introduce you to our new concept, we will be having a Holiday Market at our Distribution Center at 1235 Jackson Gate Road in Jackson (behind Teresa’s Restaurant) on Tuesday, December 11, and Saturday, December 15, from 11 am to 3 pm.
There will be great produce, food, art and crafts available for purchase, and some delectable tastes of seasonal treats and local products.
