St. George Hotel Announces New Manager and New Menu

June 1, 2016 – The St. George Hotel and Restaurant, located in Volcano, CA, has announced the appointment of Ed Tracey as General Manager, drawing on his experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry and his love of the business, bringing life to this historic Amador County treasure.

For almost two years, Ed Tracey has served as manager of the ever popular Volcano Union Inn, also in Volcano. Prior to managing the Union, Ed served as General Manager of Tommy T's Comedy Clubs, located in northern California. He brings with him to The St. George an energy that has breathed new life into the hotel and restaurant. The St. George has a rich history, and is listed on the national register of historical buildings.

Born in Flushing, Queens, a suburb of New York City, Tracey is a 10 year Air Force veteran, and raised his 4 children in Roseville and Walnut Creek, CA. He resides in Volcano, just a stone's throw from the restaurant. A former stand up comedian, Ed has opened for nationally-known comics such as Sinbad, Andrew Dice Clay and others. In his spare time, Tracey enjoys fitness and singing with his band, Jukebox Gumbo, which will be performing on Friday, July 15th at The Volcano Amphiteatre for Amador Arts' 18th Annual T.G.I.F. Summer Music Series. The concert starts at 6pm and is free to the public.
