Farm to Table in Downtown Amador City
May 2014 – Amador County, CA: On Saturday May 23 and Sunday, May 24 Feist Wines will host its third annual Memorial Day Release Party 1 p.m.to 4 p.m. Visitors can spend Memorial Day weekend in California’s smallest incorporated town.
Feist Wines will release their 2013 El Dorado Barbera and 2013 Amador County Primitivo for the weekend. The 2012 Feist Reserve Barbera received a best of class award at the 2014 Amador County Fair Wine Competition as well as the award for the best Amador County Italian wine. Their 2011 Barbera received best of class at the 2013 California State Fair.
Feist offers wine tasting and Americana music at 14173 Old Highway 49 in Amador City.
Lunch will be provided by Lucy’s Spice Box who is cooking up sustainably raised lamb sliders with remoulade sauce, salsa verde, tapenade, & pickled red onions ($14, no charge to city club members)
With a musician as a winemaker, Feist always includes stellar music in their events. Saturday 1 pm to 4 pm, Tony Feist will play with local dobro legend Allen Frank; performing a mix of country, folk and blues.
Sunday afternoon Feist welcomes back The South Sac Jooks. Rudy Cunyo, Darius Houshmand and his son Jake play riveting jug band blues that are exciting and infectious. The gypsy guitar of Cunyo is reminiscent of the Buena Vista Social Club and their energy is top notch.
Feist highlights all that is well in Amador County wine country: farm to table food, great wine and music.
