Smokin BBQ & New Wine Releases This Weekend at Andis


Join us this Saturday from Noon-4pm for new wine releases and good old smokin' BBQ!
Club members can pickup their club shipments and taste the new releases. A new food truck joins us, serving delicious food straight from the smoker, including St. Louis pork ribs, smoked turkey leg, meatloaf sliders, and more. Cash or check only.

It's hard to  believe we're just a little over 2 weeks away from Behind the Cellar Door 2014! Thank you for your time and thought that goes into planning for this great event... we have over TWENTY seminars being offered this year!  Please help us promote though your web-sites and Facebook- we can't do it without you and we greatly appreciate your efforts.
 
2013 was a FANTASTIC year for the Amador Vintners Association, and we hope for you and your wineries as well. In regards to events, we stayed warm and cozy in our familiar and reliable old sweaters-- Behind the Cellar Door and Big Crush--  but tossed them off to try on some new things, like Forks n Corks, Media Tasting Day and Wines Off Route 49! The following is a"Look Back on 2013" - including not just events, but community relations, advertising, and media & press coverage. Enjoy... And thank you for the privilege of representing such a remarkable wine region and group of people!

Winemaker Reception - A new addition to Amador Vintners' 2014 "Behind The Cellar Door" event

 
See What’s Hot Behind Amador Wine Region’s Cellar Doors?
Find Out At Behind the Cellar Door Event – First Weekend in March!

Amador Vintners Association (AVA) endears thousands every year by offering special regional events. Each celebrating the fine wines produced in Amador County.  Considered one of the nation’s “Five Up-And-Coming Wine Regions” according to USA Today, Amador wineries open their cellar doors the first weekend in March for one of the grandest - Behind the Cellar Door (BCD) slated for the first weekend in March 2014, Saturday the 1st & 2nd. 

Special focus at Behind the Cellar Door is the educational aspect of this two day event. Seminars like; Bray Vineyard’s Hone your sensory skills, Dry Town Cellar’s Exploring the link between wine & spirits, or Sera Fina Cellar’s, Winemaker Want-to-be’s Rhone varietal blending, are just a few available to guests. Other creative ways to enjoy the Amador wine experience at BCD may include unique food & wine pairings, a relaxing Creekside respite with a chilled glass of white, or enjoying a little jazz with a sultry Syrah!

THE WINEMAKER RECEPTION. As a way to kick off BCD on Friday evening, this classy affair takes place in Terra d’Oro’s striking barrel cellar from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, February 28th.  Tickets for the Reception are $60 pp, and a weekend package price for the three days is $100.

As a fundraiser for the American River College Culinary Arts Program and Amador Vintners Association, Winemaker Reception guests will have an intimate opportunity to visit with Amador’s star winemakers.  Special varietal stations will be set up with specific food affinities to match the region’s signature varieties like, Barberas, Zinfandels, Viognier and more.
