Sierra Foothills Top Award Winners
Wine Dinner and Winery Tour at the historic Imperial Hotel in Amador City

Once again we have put together a really exciting package to give our guests an opportunity to taste the Sierra Foothills wines that won top awards at this yearʼs SF Chronicle Wine Competition in a relaxed, elegant manner.

After four days of judging, the awards were announced last week, and on February 1st we will be serving a five-course dinner pairing five of the top wines with a gourmet menu created by our chefs. Dick Minnis, our local wine “professor” will be on hand to give you all the information you could ask for about the wines, the competition and all things vino.

You will then enjoy a night in one of our handsome hotel rooms and awake in the morning to enjoy a full gourmet breakfast before setting off with Kirk Neiberger and Cathy Patrenos of Gold Country Wine Tours for a minibus tour of three more award- winning wineries.

Kirk and Cathy are passionate and knowledgable about Amador wines and local history, and you are guaranteed to enjoy a very special day with them in Amador Wine Country, including a gourmet box lunch at one of the wineries. At the end of the day, youʼll return to the Imperial Hotel for some refreshments before starting on your journey home -- or you can choose to spend a second night with us at a special discounted rate.

This SF Chronicle Awards Package is just $375+tax, including dinner and wine tour for two and one nightʼs lodging. A 10% discount is available for additional room nights. There are a limited number of these packages so call soon to reserve your space. Price for dinner only: $75/person.
